Hello and welcome to the ACCADA website.  I am François Bouman, Academic Department Manager for the Department of Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta and it is my great pleasure to serve as President of the Association of Canadian Clinical Academic Department Administrators (ACCADA). 
 
ACCADA is a community of administrative leaders dedicated to the improvement of the administration of Canadian medical schools and their clinical departments. Our hope is to continue to build an ever-growing network of university administrators who share similar challenges, valuable experiences, professional management practices and resources in an effort to offer a forum for discussion and enhance opportunities for professional development.

ACCADA members represent several administrative, managerial, or specialist support roles and professional streams in clinical academic departments ranging from human resource management, academic recruitment, medical education, finance, practice plan management,  research administration, communications and more.

Our members have opportunities to improve professional administrative skills by sharing information and ideas, discussing administrative issues common to our members in the effort to improve the administration of health care, education, and research in clinical academic departments.
