Hello and welcome to ACCADA!

I’m Stephanie Russell, and I’m honoured to serve as President of the Association of Canadian Clinical Academic Department Administrators (ACCADA). With years of experience managing multiple clinical academic departments at the University of Alberta - most recently in Psychiatry and Obstetrics & Gynecology - I’ve seen firsthand the incredible impact our community has on academic medicine.

ACCADA isn’t just an association - it’s a supportive and dynamic network of administrative leaders who are dedicated to excellence in Canadian medical schools and clinical academic departments. Our mission is simple: to foster collaboration, spark innovation, and provide professional development that helps administrators at every level succeed.

Our members bring expertise in human resources, academic recruitment, finance, medical education, research administration, and so much more. By sharing experiences, best practices, and ideas, we help strengthen clinical academic administration and drive meaningful change in healthcare, education, and research.
